In addition to being a compulsive doodler, I’m an Art Director for a new software start-up, PRIMAL MATH. We make math learning apps for children. We just released our first game, Zombie Fish Bits, into the Apple app store, but because we are small and operating on limited budgets, we’ve started a KICKSTARTER campaign so that we can fund a port our game to Android mobile devices, bringing Zombie Fish Bits to a larger audience of young learners. I’m really proud of our first game and the artwork and animation I created for it, and my art is also being used for the contributor swag! 🙂

I’m very proud of Zombie Fish Bits especially due to the fact that I created all the characters, artwork and animation! Zombie Fish Bits is a fun, entertaining math learning game for the iPad and iPhone. It teaches young players fundamental math concepts without all the memorization and flash card learning that you see in other math games. The game features 3 levels of difficulty with 30 rounds in each level!! In addition to the game, the player gets to take care of their own pet fish by feeding them and dressing them. I think I’ve mentioned before that Frankenstein’s monster is one of my all time favorite characters of all time. Specifically the one from the original Universal studios 1931 movie with Boris Karloff.

Here’s an illustration I created this week for a local charity “Beers for Bears.” It’s a charity that provides stuffed toys to children at the time of a traumatic life tragedy. For example, if a child is rescued from a house fire, first responders can provide the child with a stuffed toy on the spot to comfort them. The drawing is going to be part of a silent auction. I was honored to be asked to contribute something. I just hope it brings in some money….any money. hahaha!!

A concept sketch I created for a weird little game I was developing with some friends of mine. The concept is that the player picks a character and travels to different restrooms in different locations, beating up on toilet monsters that are clogging up toilets. Needless to say, the game was never made. hahaha!
